EXPERTISE

My passion for Archaeology and its challenges led me to focus my research on the study of lithic raw materials used by prehistoric communities in the Mediterranean area. By bringing information on the access to raw material sources, fabrication processes, exchange, trade, and use patterns, the study of lithic materials can help recover the lifeways of past populations.

I specialise in provenance studies, using techniques such as portable XRF, LA-ICP-MS, SEM-EDS, and ED-XRF to recover the origin of the raw materials.

My research currently focuses on archaeological sites located in France (Corsica) and Azerbaijan (Caucasus), and involves lithic obsidian assemblages excavated from the Neolithic and/or Chalcolithic periods.
